Welcome to ViraGo. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our mobile application. Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following information about you in a variety of ways:
- Personal Data: Name, phone number, and email address that you provide when you register.
- Location Data: We collect precise (GPS) and coarse location data while the App is in use. For customers, location is used to set pickup and drop-off addresses. For delivery partners (riders), location is collected in the foreground and in the background (even when the app is closed or not in use) while on an active delivery order to provide real-time GPS tracking to the customer and calculate accurate delivery distances.
- Financial Data: Payment-related information when you make or receive payments through the App. We do not store raw card details — payments are processed securely via Razorpay.
- Device Data: Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and interactions within the App.
- Delivery Proof: Photos uploaded by riders as proof of delivery.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Process delivery orders and calculate fares based on distance.
- Match customers with nearby riders.
- Provide real-time delivery tracking.
- Verify pickup and delivery via OTP.
- Process payments and maintain transaction records.
- Send order status notifications via push notifications.
- Improve our App and customer experience.
- Respond to support tickets and resolve disputes.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Sharing of Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information with:
- Riders: Your pickup/drop area and parcel details are shared with the assigned rider to complete your delivery.
- Customers: Basic rider details (name, vehicle) are shared with the customer for tracking purposes.
- Service Providers: Firebase (authentication & push notifications), Cloudinary (photo storage), Razorpay (payment processing), and cloud hosting providers.
- Legal Authorities: If required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
4. Data Retention & Account Deletion
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or to comply with statutory legal and tax obligations.
How to Delete Your Account:
- In-App Deletion: You can permanently delete your account directly inside the ViraGo App at any time by navigating to Profile > Delete Account and confirming the prompt.
- Email Request: You can also request complete account deletion by emailing us at support.virago@gmail.com with your registered phone number.
Upon account deletion, all Personally Identifiable Information (PII) including your name, email, avatar, phone number, and push notification tokens are permanently removed and anonymized. Non-identifiable financial transaction history is retained solely for accounting and tax auditing compliance as required by Indian law.
5. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including JWT authentication, HTTPS encryption, and secure cloud infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal requirements).
- Withdraw consent for location tracking by disabling permissions in your device settings.
7. Children's Privacy
ViraGo is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
